The initial idea was to creat a motion piece for the Smilefaucet "Air" issue. I guess i let my mind drift away a little bit too far:
The Roman Empire, established, expanding, getting a high and finally collapsing and breaking apart. Anything that's left are frescos to hail the fallen heroes/dictators. The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire was my first attempt to do a real footage, 3D composition. Since I'm not a 3D pro and my first character animation in Maya, I was glad to get a lot of advice from my friend and colleague Erwin Riau. Max Kickinger created a really nice epic soundtrack for our heroe's journey. -
