Corporate Design for the hardcore band Get Rid Off

Get Rid Off is a straight edge hardcore band where my younger brother is the lead singer and guitarist. As their first recordings were entitled "Fokenstarter" (concentreted feed for piglets to gain weight), I got the idea to set a pig as mascot for the straight edge band. Since the bands budget consists of their pocket money I was very limited with the cover design of their demo. I came up with the idea of a handmade solution. Acrylic painted on glossy photopaper. The paper is a regular A4 sheet folded with a strap closure. To reduce the effort we printed the stencil template on an overhead transparency, cut it out and used foam rollers to "print" the graphics. We used matt printable cds to paint with acrylic on them. Because of the foam rollers we got a nice eroded style and every copy has a unique look. For 100 copies we spent about 100$ (including the cd's) and with the help of the band members parents we spent just a single day of crafting.
